It’s the Backbeat Helpin’ the Heartbeat
For most people, music is an important part of daily life. Some rely on music to get them through the morning commute, while others turn up a favorite playlist to stay pumped during a workout. Many even have the stereo on when cooking a meal or taking a shower.
Some say it’s good for the soul. It also just might be good for the heart according to the Harvard Heart Letter. Make no mistake, daily doses of Taylor Swift may not reverse a lifelong trend, but music can help get you back to normal after a heart attack or stroke, relieve stress, and maybe even lower your blood pressure.
This is an exciting year for Gardner with the opening of the new Downtown Health Center, and the expansions of CompreCare Health Center and Gardner Packard Children’s Center. Please join us on Saturday April 16 at Café Stritch, 1-4pm.
